• Kindergarten children are transported by departmental vehicles to or from Richmond School to the Maple Room at Carnarvon Centre for the kindergarten care program. Carnarvon Centre features the Rotary Water Park, lacrosse box, and multiple fields for outside games. Out trips are planned once a week to the gym at Henderson Recreation Centre which is set up with a variety of sports equipment, plasma cars, riding toys and occasional access to the bouncy castle. Swimming is planned at Oak Bay Recreation Centre. Occasional out trips are also included in this program.

• HRC features multiple fields, 2 playgrounds, and an outside area for games
• Programs have daily access to the Henderson gym (with a variety of sports equipment, mats and plasma cars) and occasional access to the bouncy castle and golf course facilities
• Weekly cooking projects are also featured at this location
• Option to register for SportBall multi-sport instruction programs

This is a drop-in or registered service for children, while parents are involved in Oak Bay Parks and Recreation activities.

Playtime is limited to 8 children at one time. Playtime is not available on Pro-D days, Statutory Holidays, Christmas & Spring Break or during the Summer. Staff are certified with Emergency First Aid, Level C CPR and have undergone a Criminal Record Check.

Cost: $4 per hour or purchase a Punch Card for $32 for 10 hours.
